  1. Cal alta on mcleod right by the back alley night club is really good for price and done pretty quick
  2. I have been speechless since last night, i was one of many evacuated in 2005 and now watching a flood that dwarfs it and can only ask how can we help what do the affected need. Every minute seems to get worst anyways, as i started the thread i am sorry to have asked are they jumping the gun and well i am very proud of our city and how everyone has jumped to action. Please all be safe!
  3. No problem muffin like i said i meant nothing by it, thats what this forum is great for so many people with such a diverse knowledge base. Now if i could just catch more fish id be a happy man
  4. Dxh you got that right get outta there up wind preferably if you know where leak is
  5. Sorry mistake on my part 100-150 ppm was supposed to be 150 to 1000 ppm 1000 being instant death. This is why you should not watch tv and type ha ha. Distracted typing could be a new one
  6. Sorry to correct you muffin but one of my back grounds is oilfield safety. 8 ppm is ohs standards is 8 hour exposure limit, at 50 ppm you lose senses ie. Smell, taste , and motor functions start to limit. At 100 to 150 if you are unable to have breathing aid scba etc available death or severe brain damage is likely. Im not trying to be a know it all person just rather educate people from my experience as i have witnessed h2s poisoning and i tell you its frieghtning having to save one who thought it was ok to breath in 20 ppm for 10 mins while he fixed his scba pack. But you are right be scared of h2s by the time you realize it its to late.
  7. Just though id post here and see what others thoughts are on how this is going to effect our angling season this year, 1. Is the city jumping the gun saying its gonna be worst then 2005 2. What should we do in the mean time 3. Have you ever risked the raging flooded bow for that angling relief I myself am hoping they jumped the gun and its not that bad, but for the areas already hit my thoughts and compassion go out to them, and hope they find the two people from turner valley who were swept away.
  8. Well since im iyching to answer as i worked in safety field mainly with oilfield and asbestos. It is an obstruction of the lungs which more commonly called copd (chronic obstucted pulmonary disease) caused by inhaling small particals such as asbestos silca etc.
  9. Sorry did answer question but messed up posting it all so disregard my posted question, sorry guys
  10. What species of fish has been discovered in nose creek that could have a negative effect on our rivers ie. Bow river etc.
  11. Monger you are correct i should state my gear and actually no advice is bad as everyone has their own style fundementals may be the same. And to answer i have taken some lessons but find they push their style or way to much as when i took my last one suddenly i started hitting my rod tip alot but then went back to how i intially started and that stopped but the one thing after last night is one big problem i have is double haul when i use it i fling that streamer awesome but when i dont thats when i run into issues so having said that i have started practising more on the double haul and belgian cast. Anyways you guya have been awesome and have got me doing more so thumbs up for all the help and hopefully sometime meet on the river.
  12. Thank you guys, that actually makes sense i have noticed a pop on the back cast but i have been using 9 foot leaders bu. After a trip past the fishing hole and what you guys have said i am going to start using up all the maxima green i have and some vanish fluoro sitting around. And then i guess have to alter the pause on my back cast. When i do get it out on a good cast i have been rewarded but thats maybe 1 of 10 casts. Anyways thanks alot for your help!!
  13. Sorry wrong topic area, crap didnt pay attention yo where i was putting it
  14. I know this may have been covered but cant seem to find it. I was looking for some insight on how to properly rig for streamers? Ie. Length of leader, 3x or etc. My asking is the fact that casting anthing else idont have any issues but casting streamers i tend to get tailing loops and just seems not getting any distance maybe 18 to 20 feet but not clean presentation kinda scattered. Anyways any help would be much appreciated.
