  7. Francois Blanchet ( Loop Pro Staffer ) wants to come to town to give a course on how to fish Steelhead streams in B.C. Frankie is one the smoothest caster and most knowledgeable teachers in North America with many years guiding for Atlantic Salmon, Steelhead. It would be a full day course with the first half in Classroom, the afternoon on water . Course will include riggings, lines, tips , knots, casting, presentations, etc. just a little bit of everything so you would know and feel comfortable when you reach your fishing destinations.

Frankie is looking for 6 to 8 students at $ 200. a head. He's thinking about wanting to be in the Calgary area in or around the 11, 12, 13th of august .He does not want to put a date on this until there is a 6 or 8 anglers interested. So if you want to be part of this great course give the shop a call so we can call Frankie and tell him to show up on one of those days.

This course is for single and spey casters. The best part is his knowledge he is going to share with you guys and it will be a fun day. If you know Frankie he is a treat to hang out with. And he knows Steelhead. So if you want to catch more metal, give us a call at the shop 403 873 0744.

  8. Hi ,

Im wondering if anyone would like to share a rubber legged evil weevil pattern. I cant seem to find a rubber legged one .

    Thanks,

    Terrance

Terrance just add rubber for the tail and replace biots with rubber as well . Hope that helps. Have fun on your float trip.

  9. Its been like that all year, most Sat nights a bunch of kids meet there to have a bon fire in the parking lot.I'm not saying the kids make the mess but I'm sure they contribute to the stuff laying around.

Before the cans showed up i don't think there was that much garbage.Maybe the lot is better off not having cans at all and people are forced to take it with them.

I don't go to Mac that much are there cans there? If so are they also overflowing?

McKinnon is not as bad tho lots of beer cans. Ever since they paved the road it seems to attract more people from neighboring communities. Watch where you drive on the gravel bar stay away from the fire pits as the pin heads have been burning pallets , which mean nails and large staples. Seems to be a few flat tires hanging around the parking lot. Just not a fun way to end your day or start your next morning.

  10. after a tumble in a creek about 2k from the truck, i realized that bandaids and polysporon may not cut it as a "survival kit" if something serious happened, so...

i had a good idea of what a kit should contain and did a little research to confirm, but now i am not sure where to purchase the things i need, i was thinking Wholesale Sports here in Calgary, but was wondering if you guys had any better ideas??? thanks guys!

the spot tracking device is a great thing. they carry them all over in the city

  11. Ahh,round with a handle on it can be reeled both ways.Lighter colored main line with a darker tip?

and silver too, and the line seems to be on backwards

  12. Has anyone tried running they'er C.D.C. scraps through coffee grinder or something similar? results? I'm not sure if this would work but it would save me a lot of time!

johnny it will work no problem but it will create alot of static. just short blast with the coffee grinder will help with your time. mike
