I was thinking about taking up spey casting/fishing and i had a thought on practice casting.Is it illegal to practice cast on water that is closed to fishing?

cool looking video, with interesting point of view. are you using go pro hd hero or hero2? i recently pick up the hd hero and was having issues with video clarity. any suggestions? i currently am using mac iMovie for editing.any tips you could pass along would be helpful.

i have a 5wt nine foot rod you can have and a reel with floating line. only thing is i live in cochrane. we would have to set up a time in the city after 5pm early next week. pm for info

i have a chance to do a one day heli-trip this summer.month is wide open as to which one,but probably late july early august. just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of lakes around calgary and banff area that i should consider? and any companies you might have used in the past? let me know what you think

had a really good year in the spring. caught a couple of browns early over 24 inches, and lots of acrobatic rainbows.spent the rest of summer chasing cutties. but the biggest brown was caught this past tuesday. he measured just over 26 and was a slab, probably close to six pounds. fun getting him over the ice shelf, let me tell you. but an amazing fish with awesome colors, and the best part is he only had one eye. caught five fish in about an hour, awesome.love this river.

has anyone here ever thought of building a drift boat before? i am currently looking for plans and anyone who has experience with building one who might have some insight. this will be a winter project and if all goes well show have on it on water by next summer. just looking for good set of plans from reputable builder. any information where to begin this process would be amazing. thanks in advance.

located at police boat launch. if you can identify i will be happy to return it. just wish someone would return the net i lost there 3 weeks ago or the sunglasses i lost wednesday night. if anyone found anything i can identify the net and sunglasses both were lost a police boat launch.

last saturday the 10th i was fishing up river at policeman's and lost my willliam joseph hook net. it is broken on one side and has my initials on it and other markings. if anyone has found it and wants to return it, that would be awesome.as i was planning to get it repaired. sorry about the late posting, just realized i lost it yesterday. thanks in advance.

was wondering if anyone here might be able to rent me a red wagon? i need it for my wedding on june 26TH as it will be transporting my son down the isle because he is the ring bearer. just need it for the one day but wont be able to return the wagon until i get back from honeymoon on July 5TH. would like it to be a radio flyer or something similar with wooden sides so he wont fall out.. if you have a wagon and could help me out that would be great. post pics if you have cause i live in cochrane and it is difficult to drive around everywhere just to take a look. Thanks in advance.

i know that the gas mileage isnt very good on these engines. i have an '08 tacoma with 4L which is same engine. and i maybe get 450 km on 80 liter tank. but very good all around capable 4X4 i recently took out an FJ and almost bought it but decided to keep the tacoma for now. good luck getting a new ride.

Was just wondering if anyone here uses Orvis 5Wt rods and what they like or dislike about them? I am in the market for a new rod and might pick up a Trident or even a Hydros. any opinions would be great. Also same goes for a reel to match.. Possibly Battenkill Large Arbor or something similiar.

Just my 2 cents. I bought a new hardy ultralight 7wt came with rio gold line. It was under $300 after shipping and taxes. If I remember right around $275. Beautiful reel amazing price.
