I now use a 5wt 10' and wont go back.

I wont post about distance or upstream vs downstream,but I find the best thing to do is comunicate with other anglers....asking someone if they mind you fishing up or down from them is the best way to avoid any unsaid feelings.....imop I fished the Liv one day last year and saw every color in the spectrum of ignorance from people, on the flip side I also ran into a member on this board the same day who changed my outlook on how I appoach people on the river.He came up to me, after I looked back to find him behind me ,and offered his opinion on how to fish the hole I was at and to tell me what he was having sucsess with that day.....it was a breath of fresh air and has really changed how I talk to and listen to other anglers out there doing what we all love to do.....

We call them bow river buggers....but yes they work great.

Not caught,but a pond in BC I go to every summer to fish for perch has been taken over by pond koi......someone has put their pet fish in and they have been there 2 years now.Hopefully I can catch one this summer and post pics.Also while ice fishing at a at lake in BC we had a muskrat come through the hole....panic and dive back in.....scared the #@*& out of me.

I would have more regrets buying a cheap rod that doesnt preform like I want it to........I bought my rod at country pleasures and would buy another in a heartbeat.....

The lighter the better imop....less fatigue by the end of the day, and more sesitive feel throughout the rod lets you know how your doing by feel.

I bought a 5wt 10' tip flex and love it.Tons of power and so light its not even there.Hard to justify the price to the wife though!If you ever coning into calgary let me know its in my car all the time and we could meet up down at the river and you could give it a try.

Its a new day and age...these kids know they get in little or no trouble for doing this,and if you catch them....what can you do....if its what im thinking you get charged with assult.

It frees up soooo many options for the thrashers as well.Hes on of the best in the nhl......but you may see an even better side of him now that hes on a better team.

Maybe he is sick of long term.....or the nhl as a whole!
