  1. I haven't posted anything on here for a while, although I do read everyone else's posts all the time. I just thought I'd share some pics of my 'not so big' bass I've caught while living in Dallas Texas the last 2 yrs while attending Chiropractic College. My limited fishing to small residential ponds means nothing too spectacular by way of size but sure has been fun learning to catch a different kind of fish. I really miss the Bow river though and big trout. Hope the pics come through. These Sand Bass are surprisingly great fighters for their size. A lot of fun. This was actually during last summer when we came home to visit family and took a day to go back in the mountains. My first Bull trout. Sorry about the repost. These pics still aren't that great. I'll work at reformatting the pics to a more manageable size next time I make a post. If these pics don't come through then I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
  2. Impressive. Thanks for the pic.
  3. Great Job. Nice to see something done to those who think they are above the law and have no respect for anyone but themselves. Hopefully it will have a lasting impact on their choices in the future.
  4. I can relate as many have said. I'm still in the early stages of learning the bow but man it is addictive when you start to get a tiny bit of how to work it, even though I don't always catch fish the challenge is still addictive. Glad to see you haven't given up. I know people who I tried to introduce into the sport but find it boring because they don't catch fish the first time they try and then give up.
  5. Just ordered some and got to check the mail today to see if they came in. Dealing with them was great and I like what I've heard from everyone else.
  6. Sweet fish. Mind if I ask the dimensions of your rod and line? (weight and length).
  7. Appreciate the feedback
  8. Guess no one was too interested in this topic. Hope you didn't get the idea that I wanted to go off road motorbiking to get to the river, I have a street bike and just don't know what roads would be gravel and what is paved. I don't mind walking a bit to get to the river from a parking spot if anyone minds giving me some pointers.
  9. Hi everyone. I usually just read all of the great stuff you all post on this forum and in fact this is the my first posting. I grew up fishing dry flies on very small rivers in southern alberta, (mostly just one river) and am looking for places locally that I would be able to drive my motorbike to to gain access to the river. I have been down to policeman flats and drove to the bridge crossing the highwood river on Hwy 552 (looked like all private property there though) but wondering if anyone knows of other areas and other rivers I could go with my motorbike. Also, if anyone rides and wants to go fishing (ride, fish or preferably both) I'd be happy to have some company (although I'll warn you my fishing knowledge and skill is limited). Thanks.
