I sure like my GLX Streamdance 'Presentation'. It's my go to cutty rod, 8 1/2' in a 4wt.
x2, love this rod.. only problem is now I want one in 5,6,7
I have heard they are solid on warranty but no personal experience.. I am sure the time will come

I use the 1120 for almost all my nymphs. Some micro leaches as well. I find the beads fit well.
Great quality hooks
I did go to the 1270 for Chrinomids as longer profile which I like better

Piece of closed-cell foam on the bottom of the reel seat and you're golden.
x2
had the same problem and this resolved

I will be out there next weekend. Will let you know if I hear anything.
How was the fishing?

depends what you mean by rough.. I have never had any issues.
I have 12'....36" floor Crestliner, love it. I would definitely get a 36" floor, 32" is not enough in my opinion. Extra 4" helps with stability. I usually fish in my boat alone as doing the two rod chronomid dance in BC.. with that said 2 guys can be done, just a little tight with gear. If you are going to fish with two in the boat majority of the time I would consider going to a 14'... you are however of course adding weight which can be a downside. Something to consider if you are putting on the roof of your truck or have a trailer.
Either way best way to still water fish, you won't be sorry if you pick one up

ever consider a tacoma or frontier with a nice leer canopy? I don't think you will find a better fishing unit... fuel eco, space, off road.. little bias as have the frontier. I would buy the same truck again tomorrow but would go for heated seats... getting old

Does anyone have any current info on the condition of the road from Cat Creek south? Government reports show still closed as of Feb but can't find anything current... Really don't like going south on 22hwy to maycroft...
and yes I know the rivers are not open yet..
Thank you!

Sims FreeStone $250... great waders at a reasonable price
Had mine 4-5 years now with no issues and I am hardly kind to my gear...

Barbless - prefer an easier removal, just a preference, not a belief..

What are the thoughts on heading into Oldman through gap section? Obviously fishing is out but have some campers I am meeting..and again obviously not camping near the river

Thanks Paul. Hope things are well

Hi Don,
I was fishing pike on Sunday and ha no issues on a #2. Standard trout set. I would say 50% or better. Not sure if that helps.
Can't see using a bigger hook to be anything but an advantage with pike.

it help me maintain sufficient leverage by tucking it against my forearm.

plus the reel saver feature. Definately don't see the harm in them..

Honda 1000 Inverter Series with Econo feature - Deadly quite, burns very little fuel, carry with one hand no problem.
I find my rarely rev's up ofd econo mode unless "Wife+hair Dryer"

I bought a Leer myself through Raven. Paid to have channels put in the roof of the cap at the factory to accomadate Tule/Yakima roof racks. Good thing too because for whatever reason the only way to get racks on the cab of my truck is to drill through.

Great fish Man! More than offsets a broken rod for the night!!

Nice!

Great report and story Don. Heading south myself next weekend, can't wait!

back when I used to do extended 5 day or more trips I used the larger coleman 5 day coolers. My ice blocks were just starting to unfreeze at the end of a week if I was careful with how much I opened them and how I packed them (the meat coolers where ALL frozen product, etc). As others have said I'd imagine anything with thick walls will do the trick.
X2 all the way. I use 4L plastic milk jugs for the ice. Nice for spare drinking water.
I have been Interested in the yeti however

they should really be called 'structure finders'

Totally agree. That is what I use mine for then ancore up and turn it off. Spend enough of my life starring at a screen!

Great boats.Had one for years and love it.
I do recommend picking up a couple extra screw in valves though ($5). I have had a few fail/leak slowly. More than likely do to me putting to much air pressure in..
Have fun

Imagine the realitors commision on selling that shack!

Considering combining my gas and electric to one provider at least. Either Direct E or Enmax. Apparently you save $120 per year as they are not both charging you $10 each just to send you a bill.
Not sure about the contract however, have not done the research... Have noticed the bill getting higher and higher though! Seems like all I do is walk around after my family turnning Sh@# off!

FINALLY!!! Last year was the worst.. headed out with the family on a Tuesday to stay for the week and ensure we get a good spot. Counted 3 units left on premium river side spots within 2km.. no one there all week...they will be here on the weekend right? That's a NO, weather was crap so none of them showed up on the weekend either.. wrote letters to each of them and left stuck to the trailer doors on the Sunday we left. Key word SELFISH!
Came back the next weekend, 2 of the units where still there letters still attached! No one there for nearly 2 weeks..
Gets my blood boiling like nothing else..
