  1. FINALLY!!! Last year was the worst.. headed out with the family on a Tuesday to stay for the week and ensure we get a good spot. Counted 3 units left on premium river side spots within 2km.. no one there all week...they will be here on the weekend right? That's a NO, weather was crap so none of them showed up on the weekend either.. wrote letters to each of them and left stuck to the trailer doors on the Sunday we left. Key word SELFISH!

Came back the next weekend, 2 of the units where still there letters still attached! No one there for nearly 2 weeks..

Gets my blood boiling like nothing else..

  2. depends what you mean by rough.. I have never had any issues.

I have 12'....36" floor Crestliner, love it. I would definitely get a 36" floor, 32" is not enough in my opinion. Extra 4" helps with stability. I usually fish in my boat alone as doing the two rod chronomid dance in BC.. with that said 2 guys can be done, just a little tight with gear. If you are going to fish with two in the boat majority of the time I would consider going to a 14'... you are however of course adding weight which can be a downside. Something to consider if you are putting on the roof of your truck or have a trailer.

Either way best way to still water fish, you won't be sorry if you pick one up

  3. Hi Don,

I was fishing pike on Sunday and ha no issues on a #2. Standard trout set. I would say 50% or better. Not sure if that helps.

Can't see using a bigger hook to be anything but an advantage with pike.

  4. back when I used to do extended 5 day or more trips I used the larger coleman 5 day coolers. My ice blocks were just starting to unfreeze at the end of a week if I was careful with how much I opened them and how I packed them (the meat coolers where ALL frozen product, etc). As others have said I'd imagine anything with thick walls will do the trick.

X2 all the way. I use 4L plastic milk jugs for the ice. Nice for spare drinking water.

I have been Interested in the yeti however

  5. Considering combining my gas and electric to one provider at least. Either Direct E or Enmax. Apparently you save $120 per year as they are not both charging you $10 each just to send you a bill.

Not sure about the contract however, have not done the research... Have noticed the bill getting higher and higher though! Seems like all I do is walk around after my family turnning Sh@# off!
