Yep, it's the Canon 24-105 coffee mug.
I wish they were waterproof, but not yet (I believe in the future we may see some specialized waterproof lenses). In the meanwhile I am happy with Pentax for underwater shooting.

The See-through blood sucker:

The Pentax Optio WG-1 will be offered in black or purple models, and the WG-1 GPS will be available in black, yellow, or green. They will both ship in April 2011, with the WG-1 GPS priced at $399.95 and the WG-1 at $349.95.
Today, I saw the new Panasonic TS-10 (FT10). It looks pretty much the TS-2 and feels OK in hand. The picture quality looked nice (only checked on LCD!).

I have been looking at the threads about the flys people have tied and i would like to post a few of mine, but all i have is my iphone and the camera is definetly not good enough. So i was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a digital camera that would be good for this and also ill be using it on the river as my fishing camera. i picked up a new 4wt setup this year so the fishing budget is pretty stretched, so something thats fairly inexpensive would be ideal...
If you want waterproof/underwater, good macro, and good quality outdoor pictures have a look at Pentax Optio Wxx models. You may get older versions on a budget.
Other brands like Olympus, Panasonic, Canon too have good underwater P&S cameras.
Should you not need waterproof camera, go with the known brands, e.g Canon or Nikon. For fish and macro photos you do not need long telezoom capability. I suggest models with image stabilizator.
As for everyone, I suggest research the models and then go try them out (take photos in the shop or even get one on the 30 days money back guarantee).

)Finland is a beautiful country, but I also have many fond memories from Calgary, AB, & Canada! You've got to love the place you live.
I shoot most of these photos with various Canon dSLRs (Canon Rulez!), but underwater photos are with a Pentax Optio W60.
The Pentax is also great for macros when the conditions are right.

Here are two nymphs from my fly-box, which often work over here. I chosen them for their simplicity. The Mono-Ribbed Caddis and the See-Through Blood Sucker

Here in Finland, rivers are frozen big time. So I am almost envy you Calgarians fishing The Bow (but I am not the envy type ^..^).

No price information yet (at least I did not find). On several review pages, price said to be announced end of February 2011.
Not expect it to be cheap! Panasonic cameras are priced over the competitors cameras. Some people say, it worth the extra bucks.

I'm into macros and most of them I shot with Canon's EF 100L Macro lens. However, there are few successful photos taken with my waterproof Pentax Optio W60 P&S.
When the conditions are right, P&S with extra close focus capability (1 cm macro in this Pentax) will produce good results. Keep experimenting and enjoy your time out there. -

You will see people tucking their dSLR into their wader. It is quick to draw, but will not survive if you fall or wade too deep.
This is certainly not my way
, but I thought we all have different risk profile. -

Was the first page loading too slow for you? Did you check the slide shows or only certain photos? Did you find how to see a photo in the largest resolution (single click on a thumbnail and another single click on the mid-size photo... IMO, this design of Zenfolio is far from user-friendly). Any other business?

In case you are thinking about buying one of those waterproof cameras choosing became more difficult.
Panasonic just announced the new version (DMC-TS3) of its rugged P&S camera:

I miss the GPS from my current cameras, but some of the features are a bit far fetched (IMO):

Another cool episode of the Humblefisherman saga.
I was almost sure at the beginning that you were hooking grayling. They dance on the water and known for fighting till the end. Looks like you got some browns on steroids! Fun to watch and soothing the mind (the river here is frozen). -
Superb autumn colors Steve. (Haven't seen so many cutties for a while.) That cutty pig looks fake, but what do I know. They may eat spherize nymph up in high country.
