  1. Dear Shack Nasties Why are there so many stupid people that frequent boards like this? People that are too stupid to see that a comment like "Steelhead are as stupid as the people that chase them" is clearly said tongue in cheek. I feel I shouldn't have to share my air with people like this. Also, why do people feel the need to open alternative accounts under different Tags in order to slam other members? Are they that chicken *hit that they are afraid to post their insults under tags that might be associated with them if seen on the water? Lastly. I'd like to thank Lynn, Rickr, Weedy, Toolman(for the most part until he was forced to defend himself, and no, I don't know him personally), Birchy, Missinthebow, and a few others that actually understood the concept behind this thread. Anyone that takes anything posted in this thread personally should be banned from using a computer forever. Oh yeah. If I hear Obama referred to as the "First African American President" I think I'm gonna snap! Who doesn't know that already and why should it matter because the best man won?
  2. I had family in Beddingtonthat I used to visit, that go back over 30 years near Nose Creek. We used to go down to the creek to fish it and/or net fish with the hopes of finding some trout. I'd say we put in at least 30 days over a few years and talked to a number of other people that had even more history on the creek. All we ever found were Squaw type fish, but no trout. I've heard of a few trout as mentioned, but have never heard of it being a decent fishery and this includes the long time before the golf course went in, so that has nothing to do with it. The creek has never been good and never will be. I've heard of a few studies and attempts to try, but nothing ever comes of it because it isn't worth it apparently.
  3. I wonder if the fishing distance to a fish ladder rule will still be in effect in the section and if it will now include all of the new mini-weirs/waterfalls. Looks like it will be safer for boats, but more dangerous now for waders.
  4. Hi, i'm new to alberta and was wondering if anyone can help me with places to catch trout in the northern parts of the province. the alberta fishing guide shows mosly pike. i will be all over the oil patch, but mostly in the fort mcmurray area. any help is appreciated.
