  1. Thanks! It is a mix in there but all the wildfife are a Konica Minolta...I think a Z2 ...something like that. It is ancient by todays standards, 4 megapixels. It does do a nice job though of close ups. I think the latest one if a Z7 or 8. They are mid-cost cameras.
  2. Forget to mention that the 10 year old Macallen says "Fine Oak" on it. I'm reminded because I'm having some now...by myself....do I need help?
  3. Awesome fish Roach! So many nice fish there. Good to here it was all AB. Might have to try and get me some...
  4. Both. They were actually spawning. I had never seen it in "action" before. The male was vibrating next to the female and then the female would turn sidways, beat the gravel and release. We missed timing on those pics, didn't have the camera. Other than a few of them the rest were there to feed. They were rising regularly for bugs which was also great to see with that vantage point. Northfork, hot flies were a black and brown maribou leech, double shrimp and cronimids. Yeah, they call me "smiley" sometimes. Can't wipe the permanent grin I have
  5. Hard to beat scenary... A great end to a day in paradise. Cheers!
  6. Spent a decent amount of quality time at Maligne Lake in Jasper in June and just the past long weekend. It can be a pretty magical place to take it all in...oh and the fishing was excellent. Wildlife viewing is always awesome. In June we saw mountain goats, sheep, elk, deer, black bear, moose and all sorts of bird life. A less than timid squirrel Great fish viewing opportunities as well. Bows attempting to spawn The kind of fish watching I could do for hours....and did More to follow...

    June Pics

Great pics indeed! Some beauty places you have been to. The bird feeders are working out very well. Good idea!
  8. Good choices! Has anyone on here tried Macallan 10 year single malt? It is one of the best all around scotches for my taste buds. It is mid-range at about $50-60. I found it for $45 recently. I highly recommend giving it a try. Macallan Single Malt I'm thinking of it now.......
  9. Some real tanks on those pics. Great stuff! Thanks for the pics and congrats on your great week.
  10. I have to fit in one more "awesome!". You have a knack for this picture taking thing....oh...and for fishing Thanks for improving my view for the day.

Current, the edited post isn't much better than the original. Light hearted or not you were not there and you are making an assumption about it. That is too bad because it detracts from the original post. I was the man behind the camera for the pics so I have an accurate idea how things went. You are entitled to your opinion and you have shared it. Ayr, hope the reminder of the season continues with the same kind of success. Those trout are in trouble in trips to come
  12. Guilty until proven innocent hey? I seriously doubt all the people there are wanting to wet a line. Nothing wrong with enjoying a day by the lake or pond. I also do not see anything wrong with put and take fisheries. Lots of ponds up here around Edmonton and area and they do get fished a lot. I don't know about cleaned out or not but I imagine the population takes a dive. That is just fine in my books for stocked ponds. I do not know Allen Bill pond at all, never been there. Sundance, if your thinking it has trophy trout characterics and potential, that I get. Muir Lake is a great example and success of a reduced limit to produce a trophy lake. It is great to have the mix. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more trophy limit lakes mixed in with the 5 limit stocked ones. Otherwise, is there a shortage of stocked ponds in the Calgary area? How about a half-way solution of 2 or 3 keep limit rather than 5. I seriously doubt one stocked trout is going to feed a family. There must a better middle ground. My .2 cents.
  13. They are all great pics. I like the first one best though. Something about those brookies.... Thanks for the great report and congrats on the day out.
  14. Same species that are listed on mine. It was issued 3 years ago. The previous one I had did list Tigers, which have now been delisted.
  15. LOL! Hey Sundance. Amazing how you can get two different stories. Even move amazing that both published lists come from the same source - Agriculture and Rural Development. Anyways, I believe the post on the AO board is bang on - they are not allowed in Alberta anymore. However, I would recommend contacting Jack Stewart. His information is at the bottom of the link from the AO board. That guy is extremely knowledgable about fish stocking both past and present. Great guy too.
  16. Awesome video! Always a pleasure to see your vids. If I'm having a "grey" day in the office, I sometimes watch one of your vids to remind of better things. Looking forward to more of them. Sorry to hear about your dog. I'll bet you have some great memories... Flyfishfairwx, that is a beautiful Shepherd. Regards.
  17. The worst problems are the ones we can't see. I can't imagine what is up in their minds. I wondered about the title of this post until I clicked the link....agreed.
  18. Great times! Love that country. Those lake shots are pretty much breathtaking. Thanks for posting with the pics. Glad you had a great time with the bro and family. Very nice!
