  1. ya it I remember when I was little when I walked into Disney land for the first time, the whole wow, as I just stood there, had that same feeling walking into bass pro. then I saw the hutch, with a bunch of old fly reels sitting in it. I guess when you think of everything that goes into that store to make it so different and stand out. everything would add up pretty quick, but 40 mill? that is hard to belief. but ok.
  2. SO my pregnant wife just got in the door, we live in the country, and she is crying, and mad, because, she is due to calf any minute now, went to mcdicks on her way back from airdrie, orders a 10 piece nugget meal, and a cheese burger. and a mcflurry. as she is driving home she realized that there were no fries, so as she is upset about that, and telling me how poor the service was. she then finds that there are only 9 nuggets, she freaks out even more, so I am laughing, she is crying, and laughing, and sayind how they should all die, as I call and complain. at least we will get a couple of free meals and some more shitty service the next time.
  3. Well over all I thought that the store was pretty good, but as it has been said, the fly section was lacking a little, however the one guy I talked to said there was going to be another fly table coming in, one had been damaged in shipping. even though it is only 5 min. away I'll still be going to my regular shops in town. It was nice however, the wife did not get bored right away and want to go home. she probably could have stayed there longer than I. due to the home decor section, and the coffee shop, and the little shooting game. just keep giving her quarters.
  4. well they are opening up today to give the staff some experience, make sure all the bugs are worked out of the computer system, so they call it a soft opening. since it is not the grand opening.
  5. as the title says, today is bass pros soft opening. I am going there right now to check things out. it also helps that i only live 8 km away from it.
  6. well my mom came home one day when I was prob 13, with an article explaining how some guy had taken an empty CO2 cartridge, and proceeded to fill it with strike anywhere matches, in the process it blew up in his hands, and thus loosing one or two fingers. After hearing this, I told my mom I would never be stupid enough to do that, that is blow off my fingers, I then proceeded to think that cutting off the match heads was not good enough, so I scraped off the ends of a box of match heads, filled a CO2 cartridge, packed it down and taped over the end. went outside, and threw it in the air. nothing, so I got my sling shot, and shot it at a large rock in the ground, it proceeded to go right by my( to this day I do not know how it did not hit me.) but it did fly over 100 yards, and hit the brand new garage door which my dad had put in the weekend before. as soon as he got home he saw the dent, and asked me. I said I dont know, and still to this day he does not know.
  7. well that is a little scary when I know it has been said before 10 psi, would rupture a cows intestines. so I would think a humans would be a little less. but I guess that is what the auto industry has come to.
  8. wow, I was just out in that area yesterday. better bring the bear spray next time.
  9. mkankmike I have thought of the same thing, when I use mine to check a/c systems too. but I have also found that the inferred thermometers takes a ok reading of solid materials, but takes a very poor reading of liquids, when I am testing thermostat opening temps . I seem to use my multimeter.
