  1. Hello all, as an owner of FlyBC, I thought I'd chime in. First of all I should have axed that thread on FlyBC when it started, but seeing as most had little to nothing to say negative about your league I thought I'd leave it. Second of FlyBC officially has nothing against what you're doing and we hope you guys have a blast! our carefully worded official policy is: If anyone feels that any of the comments on FlyBC are into the territory of "condemning a derby hosted by another organization" Please let me know at shaggyflies@telus.net and I'll be on it like a fat kid on a Smartie. (No offense to fat kids, I like Smarties too ) Good luck all, and as a member of FFC I look forward to reading all about it and seeing some pictures posted. If anyone contacts me this afternoon, it'll take a while before I get back to you. I'm closing shop and going fishing! Cheers, jon
  2. I'll be cheering for Calgary against the 'Hawks, maybe we'll see you up against the Canucks in a later round.
  3. [backdoor]Canucks Knocking[/backdoor] Shaggy ~ born in Calgary, but a BC boy now...
  4. There are a couple of lakes in behind (East) Naramata, but nothing really notable unless you go quite a ways up toward Kelowna on the back roads. I don't usually head up that way in favour of other areas. If you want, feel free to give me a pm or e-mail (shaggyflies@telus.net) and a few days notice and I'm always game for an excuse to wet a line and would be willing to show you some of the more productive waters. I should have a good idea of what lakes are fishing well by then.
  5. There are dozens of spots that will fish well in July within an hour (or less) of Penticton. Skaha itself will be fishing fast for Smallmouth Bass on the fly. before getting too in-depth on lakes etc. What will you have to fish out of? what are you driving? and how far would you be willing to go for a day-trip?
  6. The above books are about as good as it gets for a single source book. We usually end up cross-referencing 3-4 different sources of information all at once to get the job done. www.fishwizard.com is also an indispensable application once you figure out how to work it effectively.
