Quite peculiar that the access management plan (at least if you read the actual plan) mentions so many data deficiencies except that fishing might be a potentially important stressor given the recent knowledge of the trout declines...Fishing for votes before the upcoming election cycle?

Is this true? As in, is there actually peer-reviewed science that supports this statement? I'd love to see the evidence behind this statement... On its face, this statement certainly makes no sense--why would increasing access "spread out" the fishing effort and "surely improve fish survival" when most of the fishing occurs in a pretty standard stretch of the river, anyway? -The Doubting Trout
