Yes, the amount of water removed at the WID weir near the zoo is probably the biggest threat to the river when discussing flows, temperature and dilution of contaminants as summer arrives However, this reduction/loss of water from the river is not even up for discussion from the government in power. Rather than discuss the gaping wound pumping fluid out, those in power want to bandage some scratches somewhere else

  2. Managed to get out onto some Elbow River Tribs yesterday. Water is high, but clearing and fishable. Landed a bunch of palm to 1ft sized Cutts, Brooks, and one small Bull. Looks like we are back in business.

  3. Yes, the Government of Alberta makes the policy decisions with respect to fisheries policy(ies). Specifically targeting and blaming a group of voters is inappropriate in this forum. Double standards reign supreme!

  4. Monger! Keep the political comments attacking voters who support one political party out of the conversation! Yes, it's become increasing difficult to consistently catch larger trout in the province and better fish management techniques definitely need to be implemented.   6. What I find curious is why the concept of build it and they will come! if Beaver Lake was a business, the owner would make or build another instead we have Twin Lake where perhaps one fishing boat is afloat. Struble is much the same why does the Govt worship mediocrity? Don
