Cutt-bow

Recommended Posts

I was out on the Bow and my friend caught a cutt-bow cross and it made me wonder a couple things. Where are the cutts in bow river to cross with the rainbow? The second thing is how many generations of offsprings from the orginal cutt-bow cross will keep the red slashes under the jaw if the new offspring keep breeding with a rainbow?

There are also cutts in the Ghost Reservoir, and the government stocks cutts in the Kananaskis River so there are two sources. Don't know about how long the slashes would get retained, from my high school biology I would think it has something to do with if it is a recessive or dominant gene trait. And then there are always throwbacks in genetics too.
