Ayr Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hey guys, hope you're all havin' a great summer, gettin' out there and enjoying some fishing. I haven't been taking many pics lately, the fishing has been getting in the way, but here are a few from the last couple of months. Hope you enjoy. We spent the last half of June and the first half of July on Vancouver Island this year. The western side of the island is pretty rugged country, with lots of little goat trails to explore in the Jeep like this one; ....and some of those goat trails lead to spots like this; and this; and sometimes right beside the highway there were some beautiful spots too..... I caught small rainbows here, mostly sight fishing, what a blast! A family friend who lives on the Island took me into this beauty of a cutthroat stream. Consistent surface action on smallish cutties, with the odd honker thrown in to keep it interesting. They just couldn't hold themselves back from SMASHING foam hoppers and stimulators 8-) .
