KevinCripps
Hello folks my name is Kevin,I just moved from Ontario to Hinton Alberta I came with a bag of clothes my rods and some basic fly tying tools. I would just like to ask your opinion about what flies are staples that you absolutely would not go without in the rivers here. I am sure there are some that are the same as back home but judging by the looks of the rivers here I may have to learn to fish all over again. I am really looking forward to catching graylings and bulls. Also glad to be new member of your forum and thanks for the help.
cheeler
http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?...essential+flies GRHE, pheasant tail, prince nymphs, SJW's, and some stonefly nymphs would also be useful at this time of year. Royal coachmans are also popular grayling flies. For bulls, think big streamers like double bunnies and clousers in white, orange, and red to start. SanJuanWorm
Oh man Hinton is a great place to live. Two great rivers just north are the Wild Hay and the Berland river. Grayling like royal coachman dry flies for some reason. I usually put a dropper on that is a very small prince nymph.
