I'm looking to spend about $150-175 tops, can anyone reccomend any brands? or jackets they have and like/dislike? H2O Posted June 4, 2008 Share Posted June 4, 2008 Hi Kyle, William Joseph makes a great rain jacket that's light and packs down to almost nothing, Fishtales sells them, when I bought mine it was under 100 bucks I believe. I also have a Cloudveil jacket that I love that you can also get from Fishtales and Wholesale sports, (Fishtales is cheaper). You may want to check the Buy/Sell at www.fishbc.com, a couple of days ago the ex-Simms rep posted the last of his sample gear including a large Freestone rain jacket for $125.00. jonny5 Posted June 4, 2008 Share Posted June 4, 2008 I like the old school yellow or green rain jackets with a hood... with a set of waders you are pretty much water proof except for the wrists... but I guess it doesn't rain so much here so you could probably get away with goretex or something. I think most of their Pati stuff is 50% but just give Brent or Kevin a call (and make sure you ask him about my % of the commission ) NOt sure if it's listed on the website - I know Brent was working on that recently... Also Patagonia website had them on sale, as well! P *Edit* Just checked the BRTF website and they list "select" Deep Wading Jackets @ 50% off! ALso checked the patagonia website and they only have smalls & larges left for US$120 - if you have someone in the US you can send it to, they can intern send it "as a gift" to you... headscan Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 I'm in a city with an LL Bean and just picked up the Gore-Tex PacLite Stowaway Wading Jacket .
