mountainx Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Hey some of you pointed me in the right direction a couple week ago and return yesturdays to fish creek park in Calgary and got a very nice brown a little over 26" on a prince nymph just curious. What consider a a big one on the Bow. this was one of my bigger fish ever and my first brown so I was pretty stock!!!!! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction again. happy fishing Quote
reevesr1 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 26" would be considered a BIG brown on the bow, or pretty much anywhere else. Very nice job! Quote
hydropsyche Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I hate to say it, but it was beginners luck. A 26in brown is a very rare catch indeed and a lot of veterans have yet to catch one. The only problem you're going to have now is to trying to beat it. Congratulations. Quote
fishfreak Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I have yet to catch anything over 24". Congrats on the big fish, but you need a pic to prove it to us. Quote
Pythagoras Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Who cares the size exactly....nice catch! Quote

fishfreak Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Welcome to the board MX1. You'll find this place to be addictive, as you check it several times a day to find new posts and pictures to read. Quote
Brownstone Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 MX1 .. this is a great place to get info and learn for sure, be aware tho, tales of a big fish are sometimes best kept to yourself without pics, sometimes even with pics .. nothing to prove to anybody but yourself anyway right... Quote
