The River Why

Brent gave me a book to read called The River Why. In the first couple of pages, there is the following paragraph which describes many on this board, yours truly included:

 

"Consider, when even a small quantity of water is inserted in a human posterior, a dramatic purgation results. Mightn't it follow that the constant proximity of vast quantities of the same fluid to a man's anterior could effect a analogous purgation? Perhaps the physiological truth of the matter is my father's head-so long and relentlessly bombarded by trout waters-has been the unintentional victim of a cranial enema: his brains have been voided of everything unrelated to fish and fishing....."

 

I showed it to my wife, she looked at me and said "yep."

Gus reminds me of my father, almost spookily so. A fishing prodigy not bound by convention or any specific technique.

I liked Ma's response when some Jehovah's Witnesses showed up on the porch. Granted, a bit of an over reaction, but I think I blew milk out of my nose when I read it.
