Guest bigbadbrent Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Here are my boxes, uncomplete, but nearly done..forgive the streamer box, its not meant for bulltrout, just the easiest place to hold them so far Hoppers i've tied today The big dry box The Little Dry Box The not complete non-tungsten nymphs. Tako, this is how you stock one of these pigs haha The Tungsten Only side Bully Box missing, Golden Stonefly Box, Bow River Streamer Box and the tying never seems to end! Quote
Tako Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Sweet dude. Must be some perks to working in a flyshop You got more money in tungsten beads than I do fly tying materials Quote
ogilvie Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Seeing your neat boxes makes me realize how much I miss Trout fishing...and very nice tying C Quote
admin Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Nice Box Your nymph box looks pretty sweet. lots of deadly little bugs in there. Quote
TerryH Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I now have a full bore case of fly box envy. I feel even more guilty for not doing all the tying I had planned for this winter. Nicely done BBB. Terry Quote
Lundvike Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Where's the terrestrials box? I don't see any mice or frogs, slacker. Nice flies. Quote
Din Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 nice boxes dude... thought id throw mine in the mix too. not my boxes i take with me but just were i put em when i finish tying them. my nymph box is 70% full already without adding the ones in the storage box. as you can see, i don't tie many dries...too hard for me at the moment... birchy Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Geez.. you guys have way too much time on your hands!! Don't come complaining to us if you fail your exams alright?!? Quote
Din Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 alright dumb question... thought you were supposed to put your flies in the other way for those boxes, I have them the other way then brent...am I doing it wrong? oh and birchy...too late, thanks for that advice earlier! Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Mitch, You wanna back the flies into the slots, that way the hook point never touches the foam. If you do it the other way, you'll eventually tear the foam. If you back them in, that box will last you years Quote
