EdB Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Went out to the river today. It was smokin...Lost a couple of real dozies and landed 10. Caught my first fish with a worm that i tied. That felt freakin awsome. Tied it with a pair of vise grips. Thanks Wetduck for helping set me up with the materials. Lots of big fish today and all real spunky. Worm and caddis did the trick. The broonie was a rocket there's my worm Not hard to tell what this guy was eating. All that *hit in the second pic fell out of his mouth when i was taking hook out. Quote
EdB Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 hey i was just looking at that pic a little closer. Is that a cutbow? those pics of the worms and leech's made me remember that there was 2 leech's on my camera when i took that pic. They where just fallin out everywhere. Greedy pig. Quote
Lawrence Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 yeah dude that would be a cutbow, nice fish! Looks like a good day on the water Quote
fishfreak Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Sweet pics! Isn't it an awesome feeling to catch fish with stuff you tie? Quote
ggp Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Great pic's Ed...nice fish...gotta love those big old leeches...a big old Bow River leech is still in my opinion one of the best patterns for the Bow and many, many other places!!!! Quote
reevesr1 Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Nice Ed! Did you try a leech? I drifted one for a bit today, but in looking at your pictures I need to go a bit bigger. Quote

What i had on was working pretty well so i didn't feel a need to change. Fishfreak: It sure was nice to catch it on something i tied, if you can call wrapping wire around a hook tying. I can see why it is so addictive to you all. Quote
Nick0Danger Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 You can fish a leech or any streamer for that fact just like a nymph. Quote
EdB Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 ya for sure..but i spent the money on a sink line for my extra spool so that's what i use, and like i said there was no need to change. It was nice not to have to go through the box to find what was working. Quote
