Tako Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Here's my nearly complete go-to nymph box. Closeup of the black stretchflex wing case. How does it look? And my 'needs lots of work' lake box. I don't like fishing lakes much, and can usually get by with leeches and chonnies, so this box typically gets shafted. Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 that's nearly complete? you need to use all of ur slots, come on! If its the same box that i think it is, you got 560 slots...fill er up! (gotta take pics of my boxes to show you what i mean haha) Quote
Tako Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 For you special price $500. What!? I need to eat! Quote

bulltrout Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Is this the "You show me your box and I'll show you mine" thread? nope...just demonstrating how all those grooves need to be filled... Quote
JMasson Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Well, after seeing the Doc's boxes I know that mine don't come anywhere near measuring up. Yes, I've got fly box envy. I've been slacking off this winter....working weekends all winter really sucks. James Quote
Tako Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Thing is, DBT is fishing about 15 more nymph patterns than me, from the looks of it. Then again, I've got five other boxes I haven't taken pics of yet :lol Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 i only fish normally 3 patterns, none of which are yours, but i seem to have quite the multitude of different patterns that i end up giving away to people on the river Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 nope...just demonstrating how all those grooves need to be filled... btw, don't you find u crush hackles by putting dries in a slitbox instead of a compartment? I love slitboxes, but i find they crush hackles Will post my boxes when my 2 Bugger Beast boxes come in Quote
Tako Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Word to the compartments yo. All my 'top dries' are compartmentalized. Quote

I love slitboxes, but i find they crush hackles Will post my boxes when my 2 Bugger Beast boxes come in no...i angle the flies that are larger than #10...any less and they sit just fine for me without ruining...(on a side note, i've found that steaming and preening your dries brings crushed or warped hackles back to life)...
