126barnes Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 After spending all of yesterday on the river throwing clousers to slinks and residents browns with a wimpy rod, my shoulder is about to fall off. Anyone know of any GOOD sites that explains and demos the single haul.............I really need to learn this. Quote
ReelLife Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 This may be one of the reasons Spey rods are becoming more popular. Quote

Anyone know of any GOOD sites that explains and demos the single haul.............I really need to learn this. I use both a "slip cast" and/or a single haul when fishing streamers. Unfortunately, I'm not experienced enough to describe "hauling", but slip casting alone can provide ample loading when using a heavier fly (streamer), especially while using a/n (intermediate) sinking line or sink tip, IMO. Not sure if this info is helpful, but I hope it is, somewhat... Peter Quote
