angler
Bought an iMac on Frioday. Shop loaded Leopard and VMware Fusion. Was told setting up for and installing Windows was a snap and would be done in an hour. Well 2 days and baout 4 hours later I now have two virtual drives but get stuck on a message about the operating system. Shop told me it was related to the viirtual disk and say yes. I did - actually hit 'C' get a beep then nothing. Guess I shuda paid the guy the hour of HIS time to do it. Any 'dark side' gurus who may have 1/2 a clue as to what i'm doing wrong??? headscan
Hard to say without knowing the exact message that comes up. Is it a message from the Windows installer or from Fusion? If you can, take a screenshot using Cmd-Shift-4.
angler
Called the salesman this am anf the best he could come up with was that the Windows install disc is bad. So now I'm looking for a disk that has some loads remaining that I can relaod a fresh version. Boy I sure do love computer - he said with tongue firmly planted in cheek. ......... and the saga continues
Inconnu
They can't replace it if it is bad? It might be simpler to pay them the hour and get them to do it. I bought an Imac a few months ago and had them install the windows system, I installed Mac Word, everything okay so far....Kerry
