What part of the hares mask are you using?

 

Use the spiky and lighter colour stuff instead of the underfur. Sometime's is harder to dub, but use some wax or whatever and you'll be ok

Huge improvement over the first.

 

Tail is a great length, taper the body a bit more. A bit spikeyer (sp?) dubbing would give it a better look overall, either a hare's blend or straight off the mask. Nice small head. Did you tie in the wing case over the eye and finish behind the thorax?

Birchy, take an old toothbrush....or your wifes' if you are brave and go over the underside of the thorax fairly vigorously to frizz it up. Certainly is an improvement well done.....Kerry

I would make the thorax darker....it looks like its all the same colour over the entire length of the fly.

Great little fly Birchy mate, try using the hook side of a piece of velcro to rough up the dubbing it works well, oh, and your first attempt ain't to bad either, and believe me i've caught fish on fleas that look a lot worse than that one.
