Opening Higwood

I know it is a little early to be thinking of the Highwood again, I can't wait!! My dad will be visiting me this summer, june 22nd, and I would love to take him fishing there. when does the river open again?

 

And does anyone know when the Pickeljar lakes are open??

i havent seen this years regs yet, but should be the same... June 16 - for the river, dont know about the lake. i will see if i can find it

2008 is not up yet. but if picklejar is the same from year to year it will be open july 1 - oct 31

The Highwood can still be in runoff that time in June...depends on weather if it will be fishable or not by then...

If for some reason Picklejar is open in June, I'd make sure you got some reports before you go. With all the snows this winter I can't see any high mountain hikes being doable till mid July.
