sirocco Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 Hi all, At first I was using knotsense but that didn't work, and yesterday I tried loctite but that didn't seem to work either. admin Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 They have a paper backing to them in a lot of cases so if you use Tuffleye or epoxy that shoiuld work. albannachxcuileag Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Epoxy is the best for all situations, most super glues will not last and 5 minute epoxy gives you the chance to position them exactly where you want before setting. MichaelDell Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 sirocco, I've found that just glueing them on doesn't work very well. They always fall off (at least for me) with whichever glue I used. So now I glue them on with Loctite or Zap-a-gap. I let them dry for a couple days (probably not necessary, but this is what I do). Then I cover the whole eye with 5 minute epoxy making sure to get the epoxy in the gap between the doll eye and dumbbell edge. I've also tried a Loon product called Hard Head, which seems to work well, but I haven't put the flies to the torture test yet.
