bulltrout Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 just picked up a copy of John Barr's book "Barr Flies" and would just like to recommend this book to anyone who likes tying nymphs and patterns that work...always been a big fan of John Barr and his flies so naturally, when i saw this book on the shelf, i had to have it...good read... I don't know how he can tote the Copper John as "The Most Famous Fly in the Millenium"... He shows how to tie a copper john like 4 times (the tungsten john is pretty much identical to the original, same with the rubber legs, and jumbo john, with the slightest modificiations). If you can't figure out those modifications without the step by step been shown........ Other then that, its a good book... Quote
