they're tungsten, so will sink fast, but i don't see them being any better

shiny can be good, but could also cause a timid fish to freak out with the glint of sun

the gimmick could work, just think, a few more angles to reflect light off of.

 

I'd think that those faceted tungsten beads would do a better job of that.

 

If I was headed to the shop to pick up some beads and saw these, I might be tempted to try them if they were the same price as regular tungsten beads. Otherwise I think you hit the nail on the head - gimmick.

I think the "nymph" aspect is meant to catch us tyers....I mean look what it has done to the Strange One! I have also seen some beads with a slot cut in them for better placement as well, that is an aspect I think would be of value. Those nymph beads sure do look shiny though........
