bigbowtrout Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Ok I blew a tire a few months ago now it's time for me to get new felt for my Simms boots. Does anyone know of a good shop that can do this or should I buy my own and glue them on? or at $99 for a new pair should I just get new ones? Thanks Quote
walker1 Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Fix your own. Easy! Most shops cary a generic kit with the adhesive for 20-25 bucks. My advice, let the glue set a while as recommended and then attach the felts. I have done this years ago before owning aquastealth Simms and it worked fine. Good luck. Quote
Conor Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I just replaced mine. Worked like a charm. Glue the boot side or the felt, let dry and then slap it on the boot with some new glue. Lots of duct tape to hold pressure. I found a dremel on low speed worked really well to to trim the felt after the glue set. It melted the edge of the felt and left it hard. I think it might add some durability. Quote
