Brent Bug Tutorial

no white biots, no peacock/ostrich, no hackle, no gold rib..

 

Anyone that ties, knows that the white biots ARE the prince nymph, thats what makes that fly

 

Ok, sorry to bug you again, but just to be sure... if this was tied with white biots, that would be a prince then?

 

Anyways, just thought I would ask so I could learn something.

It'd be a prince variant if it was with white biots, as it's still lacking the hackle. I'm farely sure any fly that is a nymph and tied with white biots tied back over the body would be considered that. (for example the Evil Prince tied by Jeremy Davies)

Then again,

The prince could very well be considered a Zug Bug variant

enough is enough call it whatever the hell you want. brent ties it thus the brent bug.I tie it as well as many others do. but oh sometimes use different icedub.oh great now I guess its called the prince nymph ice dub variant prince nymph.but no I'll just call it the brent bug!!!!!!
