Seasonal Boat Launch Closure

Anyone know for sure when they lock the gates at the boat launches for the year. The forecast for the weekend looks pretty good and a float might be in order.

Today is the last day for Mac.

I was told by the guy at fish tales that they might delay it if the weather holds up. I don't know if it holds truth or not.

Anyone know if a place we can contact you find out for sure? The weather looks great for this weekend.

Probably another good thing to bring up with the bow access strategy. Set dates are kinda cheesy. Should have a guideline dates, but be weather/launch condition-dependent.

Also having a good platform to disseminate information regarding what launch is open/closed. I think you have to google a few different places to find all that info now.

The Calgary River Access Strategy (CRAS) has no jurisdiction over AEP facilities. This includes Fish Creek Provincial Park. Once CRAS has defined a strategy for the Calgary reach of the Bow River we can expected that AEP will consider doing the same for the Bow River Basin. Hopefully there will be a website that coordinates all fishing related issues.

The access strategy is a City of Calgary initiative and therefore focuses on the areas of the river within the city limits. Mac would not be within that scope.

Sorry, my thinking was sort of muddled. Was thinking mac (and police, looks like it might be trumped by a new launch).

I'd like the city to have a more flexible schedule weather/launch condition dependent.
