lamponius Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I enjoyed it. Pretty much the way I tackle that age problem myself. I recommend you guys to read it. If you are +40, it is so spot on, and if you are younger, you should take that opportunity to learn from it and prepare yourself... Thank you Rick for being so eloquent about it. Quote
reevesr1 Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks guys. And eloquent isn't usually a word used to describe anything I do! Quote

reevesr1 Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Actually, I've been bowling since I was like 10. Bowling competitively (yeah, it's a thing) off and on since my late teens. When I was young, there was a major gambling component. I watched my dad walk out with close to $1000 on a regular league night (I was never good enough to win that much because I couldn't bet that much). The community here is smaller than it was in the states, but there is some pretty serious talent in Calgary and Edmonton and a bunch in their 20s. Less gambling though, but a lot of tournaments. Several thousand dollars to winners of some of these. Quote
Pipes Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 This was a great read. Not sure if you are familiar, but has a Gierach-esque tone to it. Nicely done. Quote
