On Thursday I was at the Westslope Cutthroat Trout stakeholder workshop put on by Cows & Fish. Folks from AEP, TUC, TU Oldman, Spray Lakes Sawmills, some ranchers, and a couple reps from the Crowsnest Pass Quad Squad were also there. Here's what the Quad Squad released shortly afterwards:

Wait a second...aren't "news releases" supposed to be concise?

Been to 2 or 3 of those, missed this one because I was out of the province workin' but I suspect I didn't miss much. The same faces preaching the same slightly updated information, a third of the room skeptical as all hell and half the rest practicin' to become Lorne Fitch/ Sid Marty disciples. Or did Van Tighem show up this yr?

No he wasn't there. I thought it was a pretty informative session but it was also my first time going.

Don't mind me BC, Cows and fish does good work in bridging a gap between what is or was seen as 2 different philosophical camps in the environmental spectrum. I'm just being a snarky prick. I've often wondered about the ironically fine line Fitch wanders considering a portion of C&Fs funding come from the Canadian Cattlemen Association and the Alberta Beef Producers

Yeah my off road group has worked with Cows & Fish on a few projects now and they're decent folks. If you're going to the Chinook Waters thing in Lethbridge next weekend we can talk about it.
