FlYiNGuY Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Greetings All, Anyone with a bit of time put in drifting the bow looking to give some advice? I've got a Clacka 16LP and while I've made a few trips on the river and can get around alright, I'm looking to improve my skills and float counts (I can drop in and pivot to back out at the Policmans outtake to give an example of medium skills). Anyone out there with some madd rowing skills that are looking to get out on the water for a few days? Prefer someone who can show me the ropes of a proper drift AND give tips on fishing while on the drift. I'll cover the shuttle costs and provide the boat. If you're a guide and looking to get out on the water to fish some on your days off I would of course pay you for your time. Thanks All, Quote
bighopper Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 You might want to check out Jim McLennan's Drift Boat School at http://www.mclennanflyfishing.com . He probably can provide a wealth of knowledge. Quote
FlYiNGuY Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Great!, Didn't know anyone offered that in town. Thanks for the link. Offer still stands for anyone that wants to get out with exp. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Hey I am an unemployed trout bum this summer and a former guide who ran a good boat for a year, I have about 200+ floats under my belt. Give me a PM I can probably come up there for a day real soon Quote
