jaymack
I'm looking to get my flies ready to go for the next few months, and I'm trying to figure out what to stock up on. Will a standard Adams/ Parachute Adams work as well as more specific mayfly patterns for most places? Should I worry about emergers and spinners? SilverDoctor
It really depends how you love to fish dry, You can fish one dry pattern all year and be modestly successful. the Adams is a good general pattern, or you can "match the hatch" and carry a variety of sizes and colors for various stages. Its all good. I have a small box of Mayflies, another one caddis etc.
WyomingGeorge
Caddis are critical, spinners are useful if you want to experience the most magical moments fly fishing has to offer: giant fish kissing the water in mirrored glass at dusk.
