scel Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 So, Nenshi posted that EMS had to be dispatched today to save someone from a falling bank. I do not want to be a Nenshi-noun, but I would really like to start exploring the new river. When do you think that it will be safe to start hiking the banks? Quote
maxwell Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 when they lift the advisory? typically I would be fishing a little but at these flows on some banks I know are safe to some degree... it's your call I guess but beware the banks are far softer than usuall flows at this height and I don't know how this river ban thig works legally with tickets? As far as I can tell, the advisory is for boating. I know that there are spots that would be safe, but I also know that in between these spots, there are potentially unsafe areas. Quote
maxwell Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 roll the dice is what I would do.. or help out at the fish rescues to do some scouting! help the fish! and somewhat enjoy the river!!! Quote
bowbonehead Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Well at least we wont have to worry about water temps in August 2 Quote
trailhead Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Walk and wade should be okay in two weeks, if we don't get any further rains. If it stays dry, I'm thinking we will get fire bans by the beginning of August. You heard it here first. Quote
