SilverDoctor
Well with winter showing itself its not a bad time to check you fly gear. Certainly some of us fish through the year but traditionally winter is a nice time to check out your equipment and dream about the new season. Some of the things you might want to start with. Clean you cork fly rod grips with dish soap and water Wipe down clean and wax your fly rods Clean your fly lines Wash those vests and other equipment Scrub your boots down and add preservative where applicable Sort through flies Sharpen hooks Clean sunglasses Check expiry date on bear spray Replace old leaders and terminal tackle (check for kinks and nicks) Replenish Scotch supply (or other necessary beverage) I wrote an equipment care article a while back that you could have a peek at if you like. http://lornce.wordpress.com/how-to/
