Oars, What Say You

Recommended Posts

So my two year old (80 days) Sawyer PoleCat oars are starting to split from the handle down, so I'm looking for some new sticks. I've had Carlise EX HDs and now sawyers. so Im thinking of Cataract SGGs http://www.cataractoars.com/sgg.html with some Premier diamond blades http://www.premieroars.com/sites/premieroa...ct/IMG_4146.JPG as the next set.

Anyone use diamond blades and SSGs?

What do you use, and why?

Jay

I have the Premier oars in all wood shafts. I do like them but have only rowed those and cataracts/hyde before. The diamond blades are nice especially in skinny water. I would also think about a shoal cut oar for the bow, they might be a good option.

I like the flex of a wood shaft.

Let me know if you want to take the Premiers out for a spin sometime.

Andrew
