Hey Guys,

I went out to NW section of the bow this afternoon to see how it was fishing. I caught a bull/brookie hybrid (I think) first and then a Laker second. Moved a couple of rainbows fishing streamers but nothing hooked up. Here's a couple of pics

The first pic(only pic of bull) is not very good but he looks like a bull except for the black spots on his dorsal fin. He ate a streamer almost as big as he was...

The laker hit the same streamer and put up a decent fight.

That is what it is like up here. There is every kind of fish in the river. The only one I have yet to catch is a lake trout. Nice going on the laker.

looks more like a brookie than a bully on the first pic

Looking at the dorsal, there is some black. Its a tough call. The laker is a very nice "patterned" fish though. At first glance i thought i was looking at a splake!

Awesome fish

Doubt its a char from Lott Creek as it would have had to survive the spill over Glenmore then the run down to the Bow, but you never know...Looks like a Lake Trout but beats me...

Hey guys,

I was looking at the photo closer and think you guys are right, the first fish is a brookie. Guess I failed the brook/bull trout id test....doh!

Not very tough...no black on bull trout's dorsal fins. That is one of the main indications.

Indeed, both of those fish have very noticable black spots.

I'm not sure of the regs in that area.....but if it where legal, yum.

Not saying i dont know, but i have seen some hybrids that are confusing looking. No black put it back. Simple as that.

The more i look at it though, the second pick looks to be a hybrid of something!
