In particular, if you've replaced your hard drive in your desktop Mac (mine is a 2010 model), please shoot me a PM.

Thanks guys

Neil

I need the thermal sensor for the hard drive replaced. I called Westworld about it and the technician had no clue what I was talking about. Not a good sign :-(

Apple store won't even upgrade your RAM, which is the easiest thing on the planet. If I can do it, anyone can.

Take it to Westworld, they've done great work for my mother in law before.

Neil,

If it's over 3 years old they may not even bother!! That's what west world told me when I needed a new logic board for the 2nd time on my iMac and one for my wife's iBook!! Both are considered obsolete!

Thanks for the links Roast, and the replies guys - I've watched a few videos on this. Despite building and repairing my own PCs for years, I have to admit to being more than a little intimidated with the notion of taking apart my Mac like that. I'll muster the courage to try this myself though. At least I won't have to delete all my porn if I don't take it in somewhere. I'm J/K of course!
