Fishslayer74 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I have a 6wt reel with 6wt floating Rio Gold which is perfect for dry fly, nymphing and some streamers... However I just bought a spare spool for it and I'd like to find a line that I can use for on the Bow, and on lakes that will be good for getting streamers and other flys down a bit. I'd like something that will work on trout, pike and bass that will do the job. I know that in the middle of summer if your trying for trout you'll need a fast sinking line but I won't be fishing the lakes as much in the summer. It'll be more in the spring and fall. However I might be fishing pike or bass in the summer at some point but I don't think it needs to get down as far. So I'm stuck on what my second line should be with having the floating line already. Sink Tips at different rates and what rate? Intermediate Sinking lines? And different brands such as RIO, Scientific Angler, AirFlo, Etc. If anyone could help out with some advice that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Quote
ÜberFly Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 SA Streamer Express (with 25' head - possibly cut back to 15' - specifically for the bow) or one of the versa tip varieties... P Quote
