Guest Jeremie Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 When does the river become open enough to drift? March? April? May? Quote
Tungsten Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Most years by the middle of March you can float its the boat launches that will hold you back.Really depends on weather but i think this year it will be a little later for south of the city.In the city its good to go anytime if Glenmore is open, Policeman's is froze over a bit but if you had an inflatable its doable. whataniceguy Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Jeremie, What did you end up naming your drift boat? There was a thread a while back, you were looking for input on names for it! Just wondering if you named and painted the beast? Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 you could float a pontoon right now if you really wanted to Quote
Guest Jeremie Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Still havnt picked a name, its navy blue, got a haida fish decal on it. Got a huge list to pick from, probably gonna make that decision first float we do, Hopefully the boat launch is open by mid march! That would be sweet, might get to make it down early april. Quote
Gaffer Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 No need for a boat launch. Snow Drift Andrew Quote
Jayhad Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Take care in march Jeremie the river is typically substantiually (sp) lower than post runoff, It would be a shame to be repairing your chimes before summer. Quote
