troutstalker
If your new to tying my advice would be start with chironomids super easy to tie, not much material, also it's an easy way to get that satisfaction of hooking a fish on a fly you tied...My son has caught a fish on his own tie and he's 6. rhuseby
Woolly Buggers and clouser minnows are both easy to tie and great on many species of fish. You can tie them in a variety of colours to suit different needs. For dry flies elk hair caddis are easy and very useful.
Gil
Bow River - SJW, prince nymph, hares ear, stone fly, for dries Adams, elk hair caddis, grasshoppers. Steamer fishing is no fun so don't bother.....
