this so called data was supplied by fish farms not an independent research firm.

Yes, you read it properly. Data supplied by the fish farms to researchers who are or have in the past been paid by the fish farms.

They make it sound like salmon and Steelhead fry are not affected by the hail storm of lice from the farms. Another example of corporate takers that do not give back. Except for the lice that is. They should not be allowed to set up at the river inlets but be forced to do dry land farming
