SteveM Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I took this pic next to the road @ Medicine Lake in Jasper National Park on Friday evening... This was the second black bear we saw that day. The first (much bigger) one was sitting on his butt in the middle of Maligne Lake road; too bad my camera was still in the back of the truck. We stopped about 20 feet away from him, & he just slowly stood up & sauntered casually off into the trees. Quote
CF8 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Black bears love dandelions and will eat those things all day long... Cool pic! Quote
jksnijders Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I could use one. Bet it would be effective against stray cats as an added bonus.. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 WTB: Black Bear. Must come with a big stake in the ground and a 45ft leash. He'll have all the friggin dandelions he can handle. Also for sale, later in the year, Bear Meat. Warning: may taste like salad. Quote
bigbowtrout Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Wow I should have hired this guy out last year when I spotted him up on the 40. (Griz's cost extra) Steve sorry for the hijack and GREAT PIC!!!!!!!! Quote
SteveM Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 Now that's a more powerful dandelion harvester, Chris. I could use that one for one neighbor & the black bear for the other. No need to apologize, brother; thanks for adding to the thread. Quote
