reevesr1 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Several closing in an hour, including the Loop AEG and Multi 3/6. The Multi reel was voted "Best Value" by Field and Stream mag in the states! This reel retails for over $250. I pulled the following off a retail site: Loop AEG Seies Rod with Loop Multi Reel ComboThe AEG 590 was resurrected from the late-great Loop Grey Line series rod. Incorporating the latest graphite's and glues, Loop Tackle has recreated what is arguably the greatest 5 weight ever built, and at a price point even a "Fish Bum" can afford. AEG Single Hand 590-3, 9 foot, 3 piece, 5 weight. The action is best described as: "Fast but with some Love", so it will deliver a streamer, but then turn right around and handle a dry fly with amazing accuracy.Notice the synthetic cork handle. Looks like a funky version of the traditional, but is in fact a composite "grippier" version that allows for more traction and durability!Paired with the Loop Multi 3-6 Reel, this combo represents great value! The rods have a SRP of $375 and the reels sell for $225 - A $600 value.A combo special of $395.95.The rod can be purchased alone as well. Normally the rod sells for $375 This combo is a steal at the auction price. A great buy for a great cause! Quote

reevesr1 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 All auctions are closed. I want to thank everyone for their support. We raised over $8400, which I must say exceeded my expectations. We auctioned 49 separate items, some from some very generous guides and businesses, and many from individual members. Thanks again to all. For winners: please see the first page on the Auction thread that has payment information. Quote
