SilverDoctor Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 You can use a stick pin and needles but they can be a hassle, cut off the eye of a hook and it will work. A few companies including Snowbee, Falkenberg, HMH and a few others put out a Tube Fly Tool that fits into your vice jaws. Not very expensive and far superior. Quote

A bodkin or something is ok if you just want to see if you like tying on tubes, but a proper tube vise or adapter is much more convenient if you want to tie tubes with any regularity. Quote
