  1. i started tying what i could then went too super hardcore cool realistic stuff now i just tye simple 2 or 3 material fleis that i can crank out 20-50 a hour so i can spend more time fishing and have madd amounts for me and my clients or friends too lose in trees, under rocks, fishes yaps etc........ BUT its all how u like too tye em dude! if a 40 minute nymph works better for u giver i think the casting rigging fishing method etc is WAY more crutial than the fly.. i dotn think have the best vision and in places were they get the hell fished out of them even a well presented fly cant be passed by.......

  2. Max;

In case you do not know it..You are almost unable to speak english..You might think it is cool. but you come across as a poor, dumb, almost unemployable BUMB..Hope you are enjoying your moment in the sun, Can't wait to see what you become as you age, trout bumb, welder, street person. Whatever...Guide?? ..Please....Grow Up..But of course, this post will not be allowed..

hell i will approve your post

awsome dude!!!!!! glad too see u havnt fished in a while but keep trollin ova heeeeeeeeeeeeeere! and when are you taking me fishin... few years back u talked a big game.. saying this n that we jstu gotta get out fishin and settle oru differences.. what gives?????

  3. it all can vary for me.. some days maybe only one or two.. sometimes jstu a few pill bottles of teh essential flies i need and one with the long shots.. dries or weird nymphs etc.. otehr days quite a few maybe halfdozen or more...... if im hunting bulls or pike usually just a pockley full of streamers or chasing rising fish at night i might only bring a few dozen dries

  4. time will tell what the impact of the economy will have on teh bow and other waters in alberta.. best thing i can say abotu poachers is make them aware some are just ignorant.. but call any of them in! cant the c/o's patrolling if we dont let me know there are problems!!!!! hopefully the guiding wont suffer too much for my sake but i will just halfto waite and see! would be nice if more people fr out of country came here with our dollar being lower than ours but the U S is hurting too and i can see a decline in clients almsot forsure...

  5. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for people to get it right. So here is a little help with YOUR english.

You're is short for "You are:"

    "You're the best."

    Your is a possessive:

"Your eyes are like deep buckets of molasses.".

Now take these tools with you in the real life.

  6. hey dude i would say pack teh 5wt and forget teh 3 unless you plan on fishing smaller streams..... even bring a 7wt if you have one.... streamer patterns stonefly nymphs sanjuan worms and leech patterns would be your best bets too fish teh bow during runoff... any other questions dotn hesitate too drop me a pm

  7. Good replies. Also, bear in mind this is winter fishing, verrryyyy cooold ;mornCoffee: water so the fish are more lethargic and not as likely to chase a fly, they may follow it along for a while but I think they are more likely to hang around their favorite rock. Streamer fishing in summer temperatures is very different than winter presentations. Slow and deep seems to work best for me in winter conditions, and I will often pull in and release 6-8 inches of line just to get the fly pulsating and I often do several mends as the swing develops, again to keep the fly deep(er).

Fish will often follow the fly for a long ways before deciding to hit it (more so in warmer water). While swinging streamers on a shallow flat on the Bighorn one year I could see the big rainbows following the fly. They would stay about 10" behind the fly sometimes for 30-40ft (water temp about 5C). Sometimes it is the quick strip or the change of angle once the swing is done that gets them to eat. It's especially frustrating when they only chase and don't eat...

i think u two dudes got it! i find most of my fish taking flies on teh strip are later in the year with warmer water temps...... but not always!!!! i like too strip halfway through teh swing or strip a fwe times keep swinging strip a few etc...... usually right after teh strips i get my hits.. but some days tehy jsut want a motionless swing ........ and sometimes they love the fast strisps!!!!! i find most times people will strip thestreamers too slow.. thing of a injured fish or scared fish.. they move fast !

  8. yup that is it dude! love that line got it on my switch and my 5 and 6 wts the head is green and teh running line yellow too so it makes it easy too spey cast or overhand when u want too shoot some distance

  9. hey dude i personally dont like the nymph lines... they cast alright if u chop the first 5 feet off.. if it were me get teh airflow 40+ awsome line for nymphs or streamers and for a streamer line i like rio's streamer line.. rio has a multi tip set up also... awsome idea... kinda like what we talked about with making your own tips but its all done for ya!!!!

  10. good idea dude.. ive bin cracking teh stem and peeling the fibers off slowly... works most of the time.. try too keep your fingers close too teh stem or else oyu could rip the fibers off and halfto re-start teh process.. your way sounds way more fun tho!

  11. masao cycles through 15 flies.. he sent me his data once.. all graphs and spread sheats broken down into wich months give ihm the most fish wich flies produce in peticular months better than others time of day etc... best thing i picked up form the data is that matchin and following the hatch even subsurface with bug activity produced the most fish with said fly.. for eg in april small copper johns on black and olive got teh msot fish for him same time teh bwo's were hatching or later in teh year teh stonefly was teh ticket when they were on the move... or caddis pupae in teh summer........ he keeps it nice and simple and over time, patience, practice etc his dues have bin paid and he has a good handle on were the fish will be month too month and what bugs they want too eat! pretty cool stuff too see in actual charts/graphs..... he does catch a decent amount of fish no doubt.. i dont like how he handles some fish but for the most part im sure some make it out alright... specially after reading his data.. spotting the same fish size species etc caught in the same runs a month or two apart.... he is a cool dude too talk too.. very humble loves too fish.... retired form japan moved too cowtown and just fishes 200+ days a year... thinks that the bow is the best stream on teh planet... and i dont blame him..... he is one of the few dudes i see out there even in sketchy cold windy rain any kind of conditions... he is interested in teh spey rod too! had a few in depth chats with him about it the last halfdozen outtings ive ran into him..... gotta give him madd props and always try too say hello when im in teh creek!!!!!
