  1. are you striking on the rise or letting te fish take it down? my gues would be your to fast and pulling the fly away you need to strike post rise let the fish close his mouth then strike that is a small fly fish down to 2" should be able to fit we in there mouth could be refusals to but I your striking on the rise I think you need to wait a second seems odd but give it a go! good luck

  2. crazy! I'm sure it more common than we think. taking samples at the treatment plant the day of the train accident like someone else posted in the link is a little off to me... would like to see more testing now and in more areas after the whole river has mixed glenmore south land police mackinnon and so on.. I'm sure u can find all sorts of stuff at a treatment plant the day they are evacuated and forced to run at a low capacity! anyone know how long ecoli can live....in the bow

  3. heard the same thing about 22 still locked.. glenmore I heard there working on it but only allowing FD Mac looks good but tons of sand and muck turned mud with rain... looks pretty sloppy and probably getting stick if we get any rain Jansens from what I've seen looks bad land owner down there cleared his path and piled up at at the acces to the parking lot so that's out to carseland road is gone side channel now around the weir from what I've head 17th ave is also locked and has bin for a few years......

  4. recommended a friend Sneek down and check police with the lower flows due to the bridge train event( I'm out of town) looks like it started to wash out unfortunately ever worse the parking lot has several feet of gravel.. the burm did a good job protecting the bank road and start of the launch road but seems I have he'll turn the parking lot into a "high" ground from all te gravel build up! after the train cars hopefully get rescued I'm sure the river will rise back to what it was and more will be lost! looks like most of those bricks are sitting right next to the road! almost like the whole brick carpet flexes bends but eventually wiggles apart from the flows?? just guessing there!! if we had time it might be able to be put back together like lego!!

  5. u would think common sense would tell you that water makes wood mushy I'm pretty sure railway ties are used in lots of those bridges and why woul they not try non hazardous material? I get having it in the end of the train just seems so odd this city can catch a break! could be the beginning of the end for some of our career and people's lives... the damage will e unreal so many homes below...

  6. didnt see this post.. posted similar in another area. not sure if I'm going to cry passout or puke! would take a flood any year over this. only positive I can see is the high flows possibly helping if the doom happens. I hope cp and the city actually have a plan for this. not sure if bumping dragging or hoisting is the plan. in hitching might cause the tail end to rock back and collapse forsure? this is totally insane!!!
